Energy fair in the Netherlands

From 12 to 14 October, the Energy Fair took place in Den Bosch in the Netherlands, where our MEFA Energy team also participated.

After the pandemic in the last year and a half ensured that many events only took place virtually, everyone was happy about the fair on site.

It was exciting until the very end to see how visitors would take advantage of this opportunity and whether the fair would be well attended. In any case, there was no shortage of exhibitors, as the booths were almost fully booked and expectations were high.

The three days showed that the visitors were also looking forward to an event with few restrictions. For admission, visitors had to be vaccinated or tested negative, but were then allowed to move around the exhibition grounds without a mask. Therefore, there was hardly any sign of the pandemic.

The interest in our MEFA Energy booth also far exceeded our expectations. The four-man team consisting of Lucek Wolthekker (left), Peter Kömmelt (middle left), Michael Dworski (middle right) and Patrick Reimet (right) was well occupied on all three days and was able to establish numerous contacts.

It could be observed that the interest in renewable energies is basically increasing, but also the very high gas price in the Netherlands provides additional motivation to deal with this topic.

As the Netherlands is a real water country and heat from surface water is in the focus of the energy transition, the focus at our booth was mainly on aquathermy. This was also the area of greatest interest, but geothermal energy, solar thermal energy and ice storage also attracted a great deal of interest.

All in all, it was a very successful three days for us, and we are looking forward to implementing the resulting projects.
